TVU Networks Offers Innovative Cloud/On-Prem Remote Production Solution

TVU RPS one portable uplink transmitter integrates multi-camera synchronization and aggregated 5G cellular connectivity in a single REMI solution.

TVU RPS One is the most recent addition to the TVU Remote Production System (RPS) family of multi-channel REMI solutions.

TVU RPS One is an all-in-one hybrid cloud and studio remote production solution that will be introduced at the 2023 NAB. The new offering combines RPS's award-winning, field-tested synchronized multi-camera encoding and transmission functionality with six integrated 5G modems for wireless transmission in an ultra-compact and rugged form factor. 

RPS One provides an end-to-end cloud-based or on-premise live video production solution, from field capture to distribution, in conjunction with TVU's comprehensive live cloud production platform or TVU RPS decoders. The ability of RPS One to simultaneously transmit wirelessly to the Cloud and an on-premises decoder enables production teams to create distinct programming from the same sources or set up a mirrored production environment for redundancy purposes.

TVU RPS One, a cutting-edge transmission device, is the only product in its category to accommodate the next generation's six embedded 5G sub-6 GHz modems. It features an innovative 5G MIMO antenna array that ensures the simultaneous operation of all 5G modems at optimum performance. Six next-generation 3GPP Release 16 modems provide comprehensive support for 5G SA and NSA modes and compatibility with the most widely-used 5G, LTE, and 3G bands worldwide.

RPS One provides unparalleled performance and adaptability in wireless communication thanks to its dual WiFi modules that are fitted with MIMO antennas to enable top-notch connectivity with local devices and numerous available networks concurrently.

RPS One has four 3G-SDI inputs facilitating HDR remote production in 1080P/1080i/720p. It also supports up to 16 embedded audio channels (SDI) and eight embedded audio channels (HDMI). It also supports a low-latency, single Return Video Feed from an SDI or IP input on any TVU Transceiver or TVU Cloud service, making it possible to route virtually any source to the field.

RPS One aggregates up to twelve data connections simultaneously, including internal/external cellular, WiFi, Ethernet, IP Microwave, Satellite (Ka/Ku/BGAN/Starlink), and more. It incorporates up to six embedded 5G/LTE/3G modems, embedded 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Ethernet, and four USB ports for connecting external modems.
